Unreal Essential Training (2016) Tutorial Blog Part 6

Assembling the scene:
In this part of the tutorial all I had to do was try to assemble the scene. Being able to place models, props, buildings, and more on the landscape. Below is just a picture of placing some of the objects on the landscape. That was pretty much it for this tutorial.

Look Development: Materials

Introduction to Materials:
This part is just a quick introduction to Materials in Unreal Engine. The tutorial tells us what  Material Editor does and how it has a similar idea as Maya a 3D modeling~ program.

Material properties:
For Material Properties its the same concept ( what the tutorial is talking about ) All the tutorial said to do is create a new material node. There are a lot of different ones that can be made and some are more advanced, but I have to start with a basic material. I drew on the picture just for fun but its also informative.

Material Editor: Lantern

In the first four minutes of the tutorial it wanted us to open the Lamp material in the Material Editor. At then end of the video I am suppose to make some kind of flickering light material for the Lantern.

More pictures are coming...

Here it shows me all the different materials that are available in this Unreal project. They are all shown in the bottom area of the Unreal Interface.

On the picture before this* If the materials are available in the interface I can click on a specific material and go back to the Material Editor and can hold T + Click in the viewport to add a existing material. Or I can right click on the Material Editor Viewport and look for the texture in there if theres one available.
